Way marked cycling and walking trails through Glenurquhart Forest with fine views to the hills of Strathglass and Glen Affric, over Loch Meiklie, the picturesque 19th century village of Milton and over Drumnadrochit to Urquhart Bay and Loch Ness from the Craigmonie viewpoint. 3-4 hours walk each way or there is a bus service back from Drumnadrochit to Glenurquhart House.
Balnain bike park, is within a very short distance from Glenurquhart House with a host forest cycle trails. To test the skill of both the early beginner and mountain biking enthusiast alike the Balnain bike park has been described as “the cycling equivalent of a skateboard park, just as testing and every bit as energetic”.
Within a short driving distance of your accommodation you are close to a selection of Munro ranges, ideal if you’re planning to venture on a few climbs over a holiday or weekend break.
